Dit was ‘n toevallige en uiters onromantiese ontmoeting, hy het by ‘n verkeerslig van agter in haar klein motortjie vasgery. Maar Wynand Meiring was ‘n besondere man en twee maande later was Marinda met hom getroud.
Op pad huis toe na die Bosbok Motel waarvan hy medeeienaar is, slaan die noodlot egter toe en haar droom spat aan skerwe. Ontredderd en mens-alleen is sy verplig om hulp te vra van Hugo, Wynand se broer, die ander eienaar van die luukse motel.
