Generaal Lang Hendrik van den Bergh, oud-hoof van die Veiligheidspolisie en latere hoof van die destydse BOSS, was vir baie die mees gevreesde man in die ou Suid-Afrika. Hy was briljant – selfs internasionaal was hy ‘n gerekende figuur onder Koue Oorlog-spioene. Tuis het hy ‘n skrikbewind gevoer en hierdie boek, deur ‘n oud-veiligheidspolisieman, verbind hom met verskeie opspraakwekkende moorde waarom daar vandag nog raaisels hang. Dit sluit in:
- Die sluipmoord op dr. HF Verwoerd
- Die dood van staatspresident Nic Diederichs
- Die dood van Steve Biko
- Die sluipmoord op Anton Lubowski
- Die sluipmoord op die NG-teoloog, professor Johan Heyns.
